Job Summary:
The Kayak sales associate is responsible for assisting customers with selecting kayaks and related gear, providing product knowledge, and delivering excellent customer service. This role supports sales, maintains store presentation, and promotes safe and enjoyable paddling experiences

The Kayak sales associate is responsible for assisting customers with selecting kayaks and related gear, providing product knowledge, and delivering excellent customer service. This role supports sales, maintains store presentation, and promotes safe and enjoyable paddling experiences
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
- Recommend kayaks and accessories based on customer needs, skill level, and budget
- Explain product features, benefits, and proper usage
- Demonstrate equipment and basic safety practices
- Process sales transactions accurately
- Assist with stocking, inventory, and merchandising displays
- Help customers load kayaks and gear as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor
- Stay informed about products and industry trends
- Support promotions, events, and demonstrations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Retail or sales experience preferred
- Interest in kayaking or outdoor recreation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (40-80lbs)
- Basic knowledge of water safety is a plus
